Oral Surgeon in Houston
Meet Dr. David Dadoun
While he was born in Montreal, Canada, and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Dadoun now proudly calls Houston his home. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating magna cum laude from Touro University in New York, and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He ranked in the top 10% of his class and received the esteemed American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Implant Award in recognition of his skill and dedication to implant dentistry and oral surgery.
Dr. Dadoun then pursued his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he served as Chief Resident from 2025 to 2026. This training gave him invaluable experience and expertise across the breadth of oral and maxillofacial procedures, while also nurturing a lasting passion for academic medicine, clinical investigation, and teaching. After completing his residency, he decided to stay in Houston and joined Piney Point Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, where he takes pride in caring for the community that accepted him so warmly.
He holds a particular clinical interest in the diagnosis and surgical management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, including complex treatments like TMJ arthroplasty and total joint replacement. His broader clinical abilities span orthognathic surgery, full-arch implant restoration, bone grafting, dentoalveolar procedures, office-based anesthesia, pediatric oral surgery, and the surgical treatment of oral pathology. By integrating advanced digital planning and cutting-edge technologies, he aims to deliver precise, safe, and outstanding results for his patients.
Dedicated to moving the field forward, Dr. Dadoun has authored research published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, written textbook chapters, and been actively involved in clinical studies throughout his career. He also believes strongly in giving back through humanitarian work. During residency, he joined Smile Bangladesh on a cleft lip and palate surgical mission, offering care to children and adults, an experience that deepened his commitment to providing empathetic, high-quality surgery to underserved populations.
Dr. Dadoun chose Piney Point Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery because he values working alongside colleagues who share his high standards and compassionate approach. Understanding that surgery can be intimidating, he works to earn trust through honesty, open dialogue, and customized treatment plans. His ultimate aim is for every patient to leave feeling at ease, fully informed, and assured that they have received the very best surgical care possible.
When he is not in the clinic, Dr. Dadoun dedicates his time to his wife and children, keeps active with regular fitness, cooks for loved ones, and laces up his skates for ice hockey (even if Texas doesn’t always make it easy to find a rink).
