Meet Dr. Talal Beidas

Dr. Talal Beidas is a highly accomplished oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a remarkable academic and professional journey. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, he attended St. Thomas High School before pursuing higher education at the University of Texas at Austin. There, he completed a dual degree in Biology Honors and graduated in the top 2% of his class in 2017.
Dr. Beidas returned to Houston to attend the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He was ranked #1 in his class and graduated as a member of the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society, where his dedication to excellence in academics and surgery was immediately evident.
After completing dental school, Dr. Beidas matched into his top choice residency at Virginia Commonwealth University's renowned Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery program in Richmond, Virginia. Throughout his residency, he demonstrated strong leadership and clinical skills, serving as chief resident from 2024 to 2025.
In addition to his rigorous clinical training, Dr. Beidas has been deeply involved in research in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, particularly in the application of 3D printing technologies to enhance surgical outcomes. His research has earned him recognition at national conferences. He has also contributed to the field by writing three textbook chapters for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Secrets, a leading resource in the field.
Dr. Beidas is equally passionate about giving back to underserved communities. In 2025, he was invited by the Medical Mission of Mercy USA to join a cleft lip and palate mission in the Philippines, where the team helped treat over 60 patients. For his humanitarian efforts, he was one of only two residents nationwide to receive the AAOMS Resident Humanitarian Award.
Outside of his professional and academic pursuits, Dr. Beidas enjoys staying active, traveling, and exploring the diverse food scene in his hometown of Houston. His dedication to both his craft and community makes him a standout figure in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
